Tony Varughese
March 14, 1990 – August 23, 2008

Tony Varughese, of 27 Milton Grant Drive, Blauvelt, NY 10913, was born in on March 14, 1990. He was the son of Lalu and Lovely Varughese.
Tony was the oldest of three children in the Varughese household. As a child Tony exuded happiness, courage, and a loving spirit to all those around him. Tony’s physical limitations did not hamper his ability to move and touch the lives of his family and friends. The warmth and light within Tony was immediately known to all of those who knew him and will last with us forever.
Tony was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at the age of five. After many years of treatments and hardships, Tony’s unwavering spirit shone through and became stronger as he got older. Even though he endured many obstacles in his life, Tony did not let that stop him from achieving his goals and dreams. Tony never took his gifts for granted and made the most of every day he had. Tony always made those around him smile by his kind words, warm thoughts, and lasting impressions.
Tony’s immense love for learning, art, and life set him apart from his peers. He served as an inspiration to those who knew him and will continue to be a source of ever lasting strength in all our lives.
Tony is survived by his parents, two sisters, Tanya and Nancy, and countless family and friends. He was called to eternal life on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the age of eighteen. May he rest in peace, our loving Tony. We will carry his memories in our hearts forever.
